Seasun Global Signs USD 1.5 Billion MoU with Government of Andhra Pradesh

Seasun Global Trading LLC (Qatar) is proud to announce the signing of a landmark USD 1.5 billion Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India, during the prestigious CII Partnership Summit 2025, held on 14–15 January 2025 in Visakhapatnam.

The MoU was formally exchanged in the presence of senior leadership of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, marking a major milestone in Seasun Global’s mission to advance sustainable water and energy solutions across the region.

Seasun Global was notably the only Qatar-based company invited to the MoU signing ceremony, underscoring the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s confidence in our technological strength and long-term investment commitment. Our participation highlights the strategic importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Qatar and India in the areas of infrastructure, water security, and renewable energy.

Under the MoU, Seasun Global will spearhead the development of large-scale hybrid desalination projects integrated with tidal-wave energy technology, with a total investment commitment of USD 1.5 billion. These projects aim to provide reliable, climate-resilient, and cost-efficient water solutions to coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, while contributing to the state’s broader sustainability and energy transition goals.

This partnership positions Seasun Global as a key driver of international collaboration, bringing world-class expertise and Qatar-based investment to support India’s next generation of infrastructure development.
